Your Opportunity + Impact

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst plays a key role in advancing LDG’s data strategy by designing scalable analytics solutions, leading BI development initiatives, and shaping data‑driven decision making across the organization. 

Reporting to the Director – Business Intelligence, this role partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to define analytic needs, architect data models, oversee complex reporting solutions, and ensure LDG’s BI environment operates with accuracy, reliability, and governance discipline. 

The Senior BI Analyst combines deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to mentor others while driving continual improvement in LDG’s data and analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, and optimization of advanced dashboards, datasets, reporting architectures, and analytical models.
  • Serves as a subject‑matter expert in BI tools, data modeling best practices, and system integrations. 
  • Partners with leadership to define analytics strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Performs advanced data validation, auditing, and troubleshooting to ensure high‑quality enterprise reporting. 
  • Oversees documentation of BI systems, data models, workflows, governance standards, and future-state architecture.
  • Designs and enhances complex queries, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and cross‑platform integrations.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to analysts, offering technical review and best‑practice recommendations.
  • Leads stakeholder engagements to define business requirements, evaluate reporting needs, and develop actionable insights. 
  • Conducts in‑depth analysis of operational, financial, and project‑based performance data; delivers executive‑ready insights. 
  • Drives improvements to ERP, CRM, project performance dashboards, and contract management reporting systems.
  • Researches emerging analytics tools, technologies, and practices; recommends enhancements to data architecture and BI strategy.
  • Develops and maintains robust application interfaces that integrate AI capabilities (e.g., RAG pipelines, LLM APIs) into new and existing software architectures. 

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, reporting, or related technical fields. Experience in A/E or professional services environments preferred. 
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in BI or analytics (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Azure, AWS) strongly preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency with Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or other enterprise BI tools. 
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and semantic data modeling. 
  • Experience designing and managing ETL/ELT processes and cloud‑based data solutions (Azure/AWS). 
  • Deep understanding of ERP, CRM, and operational systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint a strong plus). 
  • Experience developing with and integrating AI tooling into existing code bases is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation and governance artifacts. 
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. 
  • Proven ability to communicate complex findings to executives and non‑technical audiences. 
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project‑management capabilities. 
  • Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
