Your Opportunity + Impact

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of LDG’s BI environment. This role transforms raw data into meaningful insights that improve operational efficiency, inform strategic decision making, and support overall business growth. 
Reporting to the Director – Business Intelligence, the BI Analyst collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, validate data, document systems, and develop dashboards, datasets, and analytical tools. This position blends analytical thinking, technical skill, and communication to help ensure LDG’s data assets and reporting systems are accurate, well documented, and aligned with governance standards. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and optimizes dashboards, reports, datasets, and visualizations supporting operational performance and strategic planning. 
  • Collaborates with the Director – Business Intelligence on scaling and modernizing LDG’s BI environment, including databases, reporting solutions, and integration tools. 
  • Gathers and documents business requirements to ensure analytics solutions meet user needs. 
  • Assists in documenting BI tools, data models, workflows, and processes to support knowledge continuity. 
  • Performs data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting and analytics. 
  • Supports data governance efforts by maintaining metadata, naming conventions, field definitions, and data lineage. 
  • Develops queries, views, and datasets for analysis, ETL processes, and cross‑system integrations. 
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable insights. 
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis and delivers clear summaries of business performance and trends. 
  • Assists with system and process improvements related to ERP, CRM, project performance dashboards, and contract reporting. 
  • Stays current with BI and analytics best practices, recommending improvements to tools and processes. 
  • Develops and maintains application interfaces and testing protocols that integrate AI capabilities (e.g., RAG pipelines, LLM APIs) into new and existing software architectures. 

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in data analytics, reporting, BI, or related technical fields. A/E or professional services industry experience is a plus. 
  • Certifications: BI or analytics tool certifications (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Azure, AWS) preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau. 
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases and data modeling. 
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, data pipelines, or cloud analytics. 
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint a plus). 
  • Ability to document systems, data models, and workflows. 
  • Experience developing with and integrating AI tooling into existing code bases is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning.
